Daily Self-Care Habits

May 30, 2021

Looking after ourselves is often something that gets put on the back burner of life but it is so important to prioritise your health and happiness. Self-care is without a doubt one of the most important things to fit into your day but sometimes knowing where to start and what to do is a bit difficult so we have put together a short little list of some daily habits to add to your day to help look after YOU.

Daily Self-Care Habits

001. stay hydrated | drinking enough water everyday is imperative for adequate brain function – click here to calculate how much water you should be drinking each day!

002. listen to your hunger cues | trust your body and don’t skip meals – your body needs fuel.

003. write a no pressure to-do list | sometimes life can feel overwhelming and lists can help keep you on track and hold yourself accountable for the things you need to get done – no pressure though, you can always move things forward if you need to.

004. take vitamins | let’s face it – most of us are probably deficient so taking a daily multivitamin is a great way to give your body a boost.

005. take time to relax | set aside some time everyday to calm your mind and body – have a bubble bath, read a book or listen to a podcast.

006. say no if you don’t want to/ say yes if you do | all too often we go about our lives putting ourselves out for others when we should be living for ourselves – be sure you’re honouring your own wishes before agreeing to do things for others.

007. get enough sleep | the correlation between sleep and mood is unarguably strong, try and keep to a set times from going to sleep and for waking up to help you feel more energised in the mornings.

008. put aside time to do something you enjoy | eat, sleep, work, repeat is all too familiar for most of us with our hobbies taking a back seat – put aside time to do the things that make you happy every day, even if it’s only 5 minutes!

009. move your body | do some gentle stretches, some yoga, go for a walk in the sunshine, go to the gym, go for a run – whatever you feel like doing to get those endorphins flowing.

010. tidy your surroundings | doing tasks regularly helps you keep on top of things, just small, baby steps and you’ll get there.
