Something I’ve implemented as part of my self-care recently is treating myself. I used to be one of those people who wold quite happily spend money on others but not on myself so I’m slowly but steadily changing that!
Glossybox is a monthly subscription box filled with various make-up and skincare products which are perfect additions to any self-care routines. From what I’ve read online they are a bit hit and miss with what’s in there and some months are better than others but I really love the concept and the opportunity to try products I wouldn’t ordinarily be drawn to.
The Beauty Crop | Oui Cherie Lip Oil
I have never used a lip oil before in my life, lip balm always but never an oil so this was a little bit exciting. This oil adapts to the PH of your lips to give you your “perfect shade” and if I’m honest, I wasn’t really expecting much but I was very pleasantly surprised! The shade that develops on my lips is such a lovely, spring pink that makes my eyes pop and I must admit, I am rather a fan of this stuff already!
Nip & Fab Vitamin C Scrub Fix
I’ve been really bad with my skin care lately so my skin is a little dry and just not the best and I find scrubs a little bit too drying and abrasive normally. I have only tried this once so far but it didn’t leave my skin feeling tight at all so that is promising! It also smells very citrusy which is lovely and fresh, especially in the morning for a quick revitalising pre breakfast.
Mitchell & Peach English Leaf Body Oil
I’ve never really used a body oil before or at least not one I liked. I think I’ll probably use this for shaving or in the bath because I’m not a huge fan of that oily feeling on my skin. The scent is a bit of a different one to what I’d normally go for, it’s very fresh and
Batiste Dry Shampoo
This one was kind of underwhelming tho be quite honest. I don’t really use dry shampoo so I will probably give this to someone else. It smells pretty nice though but in my opinion, there are better dry shampoos out there if that’s your jam.
Cetraben Cream
This kind of smells like the generic prescribed eczema cream which I suppose serves its purpose but I wasn’t blown away by it at first glance. This brand is extremely popular because I see it pop up everywhere but it just isn’t my kind of thing!
